🔁 Date changes are permitted subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Any fare difference will be charged to the guest.

💰 Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–14 working days after cancellation.

🧾 Service charges, booking fees, and government taxes are non-refundable.

⚠️ No-shows or early departures from the tour will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be provided.

🌦️ Tours canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (weather conditions, natural disasters, political unrest, or government restrictions) will be handled as per company policy or rescheduled where possible.

📅 The company reserves the right to modify or cancel the tour itinerary due to operational reasons or force majeure situations.

🥶 1. Extreme Weather & Mandatory Clothing

1. Freezing Temperatures: Temperatures in Manali, Shimla, and Dalhousie frequently drop below 0°C (freezing point) at night. Heavy winter wear is mandatory.
2. Packing Checklist: Pack heavy woollen jackets, windproof coats, thermal innerwear (at least 3–4 pairs), woollen socks, gloves, beanies/caps, and insulated, waterproof winter shoes.
3. Snow Gear Rental: For activities in Solang Valley (Manali) or Khajjiar (Dalhousie), you will need to rent specialized waterproof bodysuits and snow boots. Your driver will stop at authorized rental shops on the way; these rental costs are payable directly by the guest.

🚗 2. Winter Road Conditions & Traffic Delays

1. Black Ice & Road Closures: Due to overnight frost and heavy snowfall, mountain roads can become extremely slippery (black ice). For safety reasons, drivers may start later in the morning once the sun warms the asphalt and melts the ice.
2. Heavy Traffic Jams: Snow majorly narrows the hill roads, causing massive traffic snarls near popular snow points. Patience is highly requested; a strict morning departure time of 8:00 AM must be followed to beat the crowds.
3. Night Driving Ban: Because of extreme winter fog, low visibility, and black ice, commercial driving is strictly prohibited after 7:30 PM for guest safety.

🛑 3. Snow-Zone Transport Restrictions & Extra Costs

1. Local Union Taxis: Regular tourist cabs are legally restricted or physically unable to drive on heavy snow.
2. In Manali, if the road to Solang Valley or Atal Tunnel is snowed out, a local 4x4 Gypsy/Sumo with snow chains must be hired at an extra cost (not included in standard packages).
3. In Dalhousie, the road to Khajjiar frequently closes after heavy snowfall. Guests will have to pay directly for local union 4x4 vehicles if they wish to attempt reaching the snow points.

🏨 4. Winter Hotel Amenities & Limitations

1. Room Heating: Room heaters are essential in winter. Unless explicitly marked as "Complimentary Room Heater" on your package voucher, hotels charge an extra ₹300 to ₹500 per night per heater, payable directly at the front desk.
2. Hot Water (Geyser) Timings: Due to freezing pipelines, water can freeze inside the pipes overnight. Hot water through geysers is usually provided during fixed morning hours (e.g., 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM). Please coordinate your shower timings with hotel staff.
3. Power Fluctuations: Heavy snow spells frequently cause power grid failures and Wi-Fi disruptions in towns like Dalhousie and Manali. Hotels will run generators for basic lighting, but heavy appliances like room heaters and geysers do not run on backup generators.
